My Biggest Beauty Mistake Might Be a Blessing in Disguise

If you asked me what my biggest beauty mistake is, I could immediately tell you it’s not caring my eyes the right way. A couple of years ago, a small millia seed growing under my left eye. I was young back then, so a most direct and simple way was used to get rid of it — force. Which was using my fingers to squeeze the bumps out. For a very long long time, I had thought this was the worst thing that ever happened in my beauty life. But today my thought has changed, because I find out by simply tweaking the way I look at this mistake, I can turn it into a blessing in disguise. My motto is, if you can’t change the situation, change yourself. Read on to know how my biggest beauty mistake might be a blessing.
First, I know what not to do for my skin. My beauty mistake has been such a big lesson that I have long since banned myself from squeezing any small patches on my eyes. Several days ago a few bumps popped up under my left eye (why left eye again?). I didn’t know what the trigger was, but I thought I’ve probably loaded my eye with too much nourishment lately to deserve a small-scale breakout. After cutting back the amount of eye care products I use, I’m happy to see the bumps are getting smaller. So while I’m learning what not to do for my skin, I’m also learning how to find out simple solutions for my skincare problems
Second, I take on this natural beauty journey. The reason for why I began it in the first place is to learn how to slow the aging process. Frankly, I didn’t quite believe some eggs, milk, honey, or anything along this line can do wonders for my skin. I tried simply because I had no better solution for my then ever worsening eye wrinkles. But experience has told me that the good things I did on my eyes could also produce fringe benefits for my facial skin.
Just the other day, I was praised by my friends for having much smoother skin (compared to the old me, of course). This is something I’m proud of, because I am able to improve my look simply by using natural methods (of course, I’m yet to become a 100% convert).
I guess if I had never made such a mistake, I would probably be still using some chemical-filled products. Ahem, positive talk aside, if I could change my fate, I would of course prefer not doing anything silly in the first place
If you’ve ever done any mistake in your beauty life, try to look at it in a positive tone. And you will find the world can be as lovely to look at.
P.S. Above is a photo I took for my left eye, but my old camera just completely fails to capture the reality (those ugly wrinkles). I should probably take another one sideways next time.

I like how you view the things on the positive side!
Actually it’s not good to squeeze on your face at all! I know this much yet I find it very hard NOT to squeeze out my blackheads (even though they are not black…. lol) and this keeps irritating my skin. sigh. Sorry I don’t mean to write gross things but this is reality. I try to get rid of this bad habit, though. =___=;;
Also, I find it very fascinating that bad things usually happens on affected areas, in your case the left eye. To me it’s my right eye. X__x; Oh and speaking about wrinkles! I don’t see any on your photo, it must be your imagination! I has nothing to do with your camera! ^O^
I see what you mean, because I also have the same bad habit of squeezing bumps on my face. I know it’s not a good habit, but I simply can’t help it!
I really hope that my eye wrinkles are just my own imagination, but it’s obviously not. I think the camera or the angle or the lighting must be wrong to make them almost invisible on the photo.
i think that like me, the skin under your eyes is quite thin… and my left eye also has more wrinkles. I even have a couple of lines on the outer corner of my left eye even when I’m not smiling but my right eye’s corner is perfectly smooth…
I believe every one of us has our own pet peeve. It’s just hard to explain why it’s so. For me, everything bad happens on my left eye…
By the way, lines on the outer corner can be an alarming issue. It may not be much of a problem when you are young, but when you get older, it can be a problem. I’ve learned this the hard way…
yeah, I am really alarmed.
I’ve had them since I was young but I think they will grow deeper with age. Only way is to inject the area with botox or fillers. I’m only 26 now. Weird thing is that they are only on my left eye. They become more obvious whenever I smile. I checked my photos of when I was 18 and they were already there, too. They seem to disappear a bit whenever I gain a bit of weight (like 10 lbs).
As far as I know botox or fillers might require maintenance on a constant basis. For a lazy gal like me, that’s not something I would look into. Gaining weight may help. I, for one, am looking for some natural way (mostly diet) to gain weight and hope that would help my wrinkles.
Yeah, they require maintenance and I don’t think I’m ready to do such things at my age.
I’ll most likely try to gain weight naturally, too.
I have puffy eyes and that is a giveaway for my age. I often think…if only my eyes look better and I’ll look a lot younger! Haha…well, eyes are quite a delicate area to maintain truly.
That’s the very first sign of aging for many of us. Sadly, it’s also the hardest problem to handle. Nothing works for me…
